VPN.ac has been run since 2012 by the Romanian company Cryptolayer. The network is small, around 130 servers in 26 countries, but the current status of each one is on a public page.

The provider keeps no activity logs and is upfront about the short-lived data it needs to maintain a connection. It also offers multi-hop, traffic obfuscation and up to 12 connections at once (6 on OpenVPN/IPsec and 6 on WireGuard).
