VPNs with a free plan
A free VPN is fine for checking your bank on hotel Wi-Fi or trying a service before paying. The catch is always somewhere: a monthly data allowance, a handful of countries, one device or no choice of location at all.
We list only free plans from companies that also sell a paid service, so the free tier is a showcase rather than the business model. Anonymous apps promising “free unlimited VPN” are not here, because someone has to pay for the servers.
